Novo Nordisk signed a licensing deal with Nanexa for its long-acting drug-delivery technology, valuing the transaction at up to €1.165 billion (US$1.325 billion). The agreement gives Novo a global exclusive license intended to support longer-interval dosing in its cardiometabolic franchise. In another deal thread, Thar Process partnered with ExtrateX to bring supercritical CO2 preparation-to-process-scale SFC systems to Europe, effective January 1, 2027. ExtrateX will handle equipment sales, installation, maintenance, and customer training across pharma, biotech, and specialty chemical labs. The two deals highlight continued investment in both downstream manufacturing-enabling tech (SFC scale-up) and next-generation drug delivery needed to compete on dosing convenience.
