Curium has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Lantheus in a deal valued up to about $8 billion, uniting radiopharmaceutical manufacturing with Lantheus’ U.S. radiodiagnostics franchises. The proposed transaction offers $102.50 per share in cash at closing, with additional contingent value rights up to $12 per share tied to sales milestones through 2030. The combined platform would span isotope production, theranostics manufacturing and diagnostic imaging assets across oncology, neurology and cardiology. Curium said the tie-up strengthens geographic reach, while Lantheus will become privately held pending shareholder and regulatory approvals, with an expected close in the first half of 2027. Radiopharma scale and supply-chain integration are central to the competitive landscape, and the agreement signals consolidation aimed at securing manufacturing capacity and broadening commercial coverage.
