Cue Biopharma reported positive Phase 2 results for CUE-221 in chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU), positioning the candidate for a Phase 2b/3 trial. Conducted in China, the study enrolled 145 patients with moderate to severe hives. Cue said the trial met its primary endpoint and key secondary endpoint, with an overall favorable safety profile. The company is also setting up additional development plans as it continues shifting focus from oncology toward immunology.
