ICON opened a new Clinical Research Unit in San Antonio, Texas, expanding its early-phase capabilities for first-in-human and healthy participant studies. The facility integrates clinical, laboratory, and pharmacy operations under one roof, with GxP-compliant pharmacy infrastructure and sample processing and shipping designed to reduce logistical delays. ICON also added satellite outpatient clinics in Houston and Lawrence, Kansas, to widen recruitment reach and support studies requiring extended Phase I follow-up. The expansion adds to ICON’s network of Phase I sites across Salt Lake City, Lenexa, Groningen, and Budapest.
