Twist Bioscience reported fiscal Q3 revenue of $118.4 million, up 23% year over year, driven by continued double-digit growth across DNA synthesis, protein solutions, and NGS applications. Management attributed part of the momentum to accelerating adoption of AI in early antibody discovery, with CEO and co-founder Emily Leproust saying customers increasingly use AI-designed sequences as a first antibody discovery screen. Twist also reported AI-driven orders of $25 million in fiscal 2025 and forecast similar AI-driven growth levels for fiscal 2027 compared with fiscal 2026, without disclosing specific AI revenue totals for the quarter. The company also noted that order patterns remain dynamic, but its overall performance continued to outpace analysts’ expectations, with shipments of approximately 369,000 genes in fiscal Q3 and therapeutics revenue rising 49% to $40.4 million.
