Personalis reported a 30% year-over-year increase in second-quarter revenue, driven by higher pharma testing services and clinical test growth. The company linked the clinical increase to Medicare reimbursement expansions for immune-oncology monitoring and a covered lung cancer testing expansion, while also citing Medicare approval for its NeXT Personal assay for monitoring response to neoadjuvant therapy in stage II–III triple-negative or HER2-positive breast cancer. Personalis delivered 10,384 clinical tests in the quarter, more than doubling the prior-year period, and said R&D spending rose 32% alongside higher SG&A. The company reiterated it posted no enterprise sales in the quarter. The firm also disclosed it recently entered a roughly $1.5 billion agreement to be acquired by Tempus AI, setting the stage for integration of its sequencing and monitoring assays into a broader real-world evidence ecosystem.
