Illumina launched its BioInsight platform, a unified software environment designed to bring multiomics analysis tools, AI capabilities, and curated resources into a single workflow. The company said the platform is intended to address analysis gaps for the scale and complexity of multiomics data. Illumina plans to showcase BioInsight at the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) meeting and described the BioInsight business unit as created to improve user access to the company’s broader software and data offerings. A key feature highlighted is SpliceA12, a genomic AI model for identifying disease-relevant splice variants—relevant to variant interpretation and rare disease research.
