Celonic and Leukocare announced a collaboration to support development and manufacturing of complex biologics, pairing Celonic’s CHO process and GMP capabilities with Leukocare’s data science-driven approach to drug product development. The companies said the effort targets programs such as bispecific and multispecific antibodies and high-concentration formulations. Celonic brings cell line development, process development, intensified bioprocessing, and clinical-to-commercial GMP manufacturing expertise, including CHOvolution GS CHO‑K1 integration. Leukocare contributes formulation strategy, predictive analytics, biostatistics, and Design of Experiments to improve manufacturability earlier in development. The collaboration is positioned around parallel planning across formulation, process development, and manufacturing readiness rather than treating those steps sequentially. For biotech developers, the deal reflects ongoing industry focus on reducing friction in downstream development for modal complexity—an area that can drive delays, variability, and costly late-stage changes.
