A Chinese Phase Ib/II study reported that HTMC0435, an oral PARP inhibitor, combined with temozolomide showed manageable safety and a 25% response rate in relapsed extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer, alongside 11.2 months median overall survival. The regimen targets a difficult-to-treat setting where durable benefit remains scarce. The study adds to the evidence for PARP–temozolomide combinations in relapsed disease, with next steps likely centered on expanding efficacy signals and clarifying which patient subgroups derive the strongest benefit.
