Sanofi halted its Phase 3 MOBILIZE study of riliprubart in chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy after an independent monitoring board concluded the drug was unlikely to achieve sufficient efficacy on interim analysis. The board did not flag new safety problems, but efficacy concerns end another late-stage attempt for the company. The decision continues a string of pipeline setbacks for Sanofi as it evaluates whether to continue other CIDP efforts, including a VITALIZE trial comparing riliprubart to IVIg. The halt also reshuffles expectations for the complement-inhibitor class in CIDP, where rival Dianthus is developing a related approach. Separately, Takeda reported its TYK2 inhibitor zasocitinib beat Bristol Myers Squibb’s Sotyktu in head-to-head Phase 3 psoriasis testing, reinforcing the competitive momentum for oral TYK2 options. Takeda said the results showed statistical superiority on primary and key secondary goals and offered evidence of improved complete skin lesion elimination at week 16.
