Janssen reported MajesTEC-9 Phase I/IIa results for teclistamab in refractory multiple myeloma, describing improvements across disease control endpoints in a trial population of nearly 600 patients. The company said teclistamab met its primary endpoint, delivering better progression-free and overall survival versus comparator therapies. The update also highlighted deep responses, with more than 65% of patients achieving complete response and a high fraction reaching minimal residual disease (MRD) negativity—an endpoint increasingly used as a predictor of long-term outcomes in myeloma. Teclistamab is a BCMA x CD3 T-cell engager designed to redirect T cells to myeloma cells.
