A study reported that a contrast-enhanced CT nomogram differentiated signet ring cell carcinoma in gastric cancer ovarian metastases with an optimism-corrected AUC of 0.795. The retrospective work focused on identifying radiographic predictors that can help stratify metastatic histology without relying exclusively on invasive tissue sampling. A separate imaging report described SPECT/CT tracer [123I]I-PARPi uptake as aligning with PARP immunohistochemistry in 6 of 11 cases across five cancer types, supporting a non-invasive path to PARP expression profiling. While sample sizes remain small, both findings add to the growing toolbox of functional imaging to guide precision treatment selection. Together, the studies reflect a push toward translating biomarker biology into measurable imaging readouts—aimed at improving patient selection for targeted therapies.
