Jazz Pharmaceuticals and AbCellera announced a preclinical collaboration to discover and develop next-generation T-cell engaging multispecific antibodies for GI cancers and other solid tumors. The agreement includes $56 million in upfront payments to AbCellera and up to $792 million in potential option fees and milestone payments per program. AbCellera will use its antibody discovery platform to deliver candidate development candidates, and Jazz holds an exclusive option to develop and commercialize the resulting therapies. Jazz said the partnership aligns with its rare disease strategy and expands its GI oncology focus. For the immuno-oncology space, the deal adds incremental competition in TCE multispecifics—an area where performance hinges on both target engagement biology and manufacturing scalability of complex formats.
