ICON is teaming with Advarra to build an integrated, AI-driven site network model aimed at reducing clinical trial startup delays and operational bottlenecks. The collaboration connects ICON’s trial services operation with Advarra’s clinical trial management, investigator site file, and data capture systems. ICON and Advarra said the approach embeds study workflows into tools sites already use daily, reducing duplicate work and manual handoffs that can slow study activation. The companies also framed demand as sponsor-driven for more speed, efficiency, and predictability in trial operations. The partnership reflects a wider push to treat clinical trial execution as an interoperable systems problem—where data transfer, regulatory workflows, and site documentation need to be streamlined as one connected process.
