Vaderis Therapeutics raised an oversubscribed $152 million Series B to push engasertib (VAD-044) into Phase 3 for hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT). The financing was co-led by Life Sciences at Goldman Sachs Alternatives and TCGX, with participation from Omega Funds, EQT Life Sciences, Perceptive Advisors, Kalehua Capital, and existing investors. The company’s lead asset targets angiogenesis and aims to provide a disease-modifying option for HHT patients, a population with significant morbidity and limited targeted therapies. Vaderis framed the program as moving from earlier development into a pivotal phase designed to support regulatory filings. The capital raise comes as rare-disease sponsors increasingly seek to accelerate late-stage timelines, supported by larger crossover investor interest in late-enrolling indications. Operationally, the funding provides runway for manufacturing scale-up, trial execution, and biomarker planning typically required as therapies move toward pivotal endpoints.
