T-Therapeutics secured a $133 million round to accelerate clinical development of its T-cell engager platform programs. The financing supports two TCR-CD3 bispecific lead programs—one in oncology and one in autoimmune disease—into clinical proof-of-concept. The company said the round was oversubscribed and co-led by Advent Life Sciences and the British Business Bank, with additional participation from major global strategics including Johnson & Johnson Innovation and Eli Lilly. Existing investors also joined, reflecting continued confidence in the OpTiMus platform strategy. T-Therapeutics’ approach is designed to access a repertoire of fully human TCRs intended to reach intracellular targets. The oncology program is aimed at solid tumors, while the autoimmune program targets pathogenic cell depletion as a precision immunology strategy. For the biotech market, the headline is that large syndicates are still willing to fund translational-heavy bispecific platforms ahead of definitive efficacy, betting that selectivity and mechanism positioning can translate into clinic-ready differentiation.
