Skyhawk Therapeutics reported final results from a small study of once-daily SKY-0515, an RNA splicing pill for Huntington’s disease, showing symptom improvements at 15 months. In the trial, patients improved by 0.94 points on a composite scale versus a -0.65 point decline in untreated comparison patients from a natural history database. Skyhawk said the program also reduced mutant huntingtin protein by more than 60% at a higher dose and reported no serious adverse events. The company is now evaluating the candidate in two larger clinical trials, with one having completed enrollment. For the field, the update reinforces continuing investor and clinician interest in RNA-splicing mechanisms for neurodegeneration—where target engagement and tolerability in longer studies are critical to sustaining development momentum.
