Cleerly and Allelica announced a partnership to launch the Cleerly Polygenic Cardiovascular Risk Score Test, using saliva-based genetics and Allelica’s multi-ancestry polygenic risk score to identify individuals at higher inherited risk of coronary artery disease. The test is designed to support personalized preventive care decisions. The companies positioned the assay to work both independently and alongside Cleerly’s AI-enabled quantitative coronary CT imaging analysis, enabling clinicians to combine genetic predisposition with observed plaque burden and composition. The approach targets plaque that is described as non-calcified, which can be more rupture-prone. By pairing PRS-based risk stratification with imaging-derived phenotyping, Cleerly is pushing for a more actionable risk workflow intended to translate inherited risk into clinical decision-making for prevention rather than solely prognosis.
