Thar Process partnered with ExtrateX to bring prep-to-process-scale supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) systems to Europe. The arrangement pairs Thar’s Isolator SFC platform for high-resolution separation with ExtrateX’s European footprint and scale-up process expertise. ExtrateX will handle sales, technical installation, maintenance, and training starting Jan. 1, 2027, positioning the partner channel for pharmaceutical and biotech purification use cases, including peptides and bioprocessing-derived products. The deal matters for downstream and CMC teams because supercritical CO2-based workflows increasingly compete on speed, efficiency, and sustainability—especially as biologics and peptide modalities demand more specialized separations.
