Sartorius introduced the CellCelector CLD, an automated imaging and cell isolation platform targeted at monoclonal cell line development. The system is designed to shorten the clone development cycle by using high-speed automated scanning to identify monoclonal wells and gentle clone retrieval to preserve viability. Sartorius said the workflow can complete processes that typically take months in about seven weeks and can yield significantly more verified monoclonal wells and faster clone outgrowth compared with standard nanowell approaches. The platform also includes an EMA 410-compliant productivity assay for traceability in selection decisions. For cell line development teams in biomanufacturing, the emphasis is operational: reducing time-to-clone while strengthening regulatory documentation and scaling candidate throughput.
