An early study in Korean DLBCL patients examined post–CAR T-cell therapy PET/CT and reported that positive Deauville 4–5 findings were associated with shorter progression-free survival. The work also noted a case where a high-avidity scan proved false-positive. The cohort included 28 patients, making it primarily hypothesis-generating rather than practice-setting. Still, the result underscores how standardized imaging interpretation after CAR T may affect patient risk stratification. For translational teams and clinical operators, the key operational takeaway is that post-therapy PET/CT can correlate with outcomes, but false positives remain part of the real-world decision burden.
