Cellares signed a long‑term lease for a Smart Factory at Leiden Bio Science Park that will serve as the company’s European headquarters and regional integrated development and manufacturing organization (IDMO). The 9,741 m2 facility is scheduled for delivery in early 2026 with phased fit‑outs and initial occupancy later that year; it will host Cellares’ automated Cell Shuttle manufacturing platforms and Cell Q QC systems. Cellares said the Netherlands hub aims to give European developers access to automated cell‑therapy manufacturing capacity and harmonized production standards across North America, Asia and Europe. The expansion underscores continued industry investment in regionalized, automated GMP capacity as cell and gene therapies move from clinical to commercial scale.
