Cellares signed a long-term lease for a Smart Factory at Leiden Bio Science Park to establish its European integrated development and manufacturing organization (IDMO) hub. The facility—about 105,000 sq ft—will house automated Cell Shuttle manufacturing platforms and Cell Q quality-control systems, with phased fit-out and initial occupancy planned for late 2026. Cellares said the site will supply regional clinical and commercial cell therapy production capacity for partners across Europe. This move responds to the need for geographically distributed, automated manufacturing for autologous and regional cell-therapy supply chains and aims to reduce transfer risk while standardizing process execution across Cellares’ global Smart Factory network.
