Artiva Biotherapeutics said it is quitting its autoimmune cell therapy program and cutting 94% of its workforce after two patients died in a Phase 2a “basket” trial of its allogeneic, cryopreserved NK-cell therapy, AlloNK (AB-101). The company said one death was likely related to fludarabine-associated neurotoxicity tied to protocol lymphodepletion, while a second death was assessed as unrelated to AlloNK and other regimen components, with cause undetermined.
