Bristol Myers Squibb said it will build a $2.3 billion multi-modal manufacturing campus in Houston to support drug product manufacturing across modalities. The project, designed for late development through launch, is set to produce small molecules, biologics, and antibody-drug conjugates across disease areas. BMS placed the campus within Generation Park and tied it to its broader pledge to invest $40 billion over five years in U.S.-based R&D, technology, and manufacturing. The company framed the move as confidence in U.S. innovation leadership. In the same environment, large peers are also expanding domestic capacity—Lilly has a separate $6.5 billion manufacturing plan for oral drug active pharmaceutical ingredients in Houston and recently acquired CrossBridge Bio for next-generation ADC payload work. For manufacturers and suppliers, these commitments amplify near-term demand for equipment, staffing, and quality systems aligned to modular, multi-product production lines.
