Guardant Health posted a second-quarter revenue gain driven by oncology testing growth, including a sharp rise in colorectal cancer screening volume. The company reported total Q2 revenue of $335 million, up from $232.1 million a year earlier, with oncology revenue up 38% to $219.1 million. Guardant said its Shield liquid-based screening test contributed to a 250% increase in screening revenue, supported by American Cancer Society guideline updates that added additional tests including Shield. After the quarter, UnitedHealthcare also announced coverage for Shield as a first-line screening assay, strengthening commercialization signals for blood-based screening. The quarter also included Guardant360 Liquid CDx receiving FDA approval in June as a companion diagnostic for Boehringer Ingelheim’s Hernexeos in HER2-mutant advanced NSCLC, reinforcing Guardant’s role at the intersection of clinical evidence and payer adoption.
