McKesson signed a definitive agreement to acquire Precision Medicine Group for about $2.25 billion in an all-cash transaction. The deal is designed to expand McKesson’s oncology and clinical research services from early development through patient delivery. Precision Medicine Group offers biomarker intelligence, lab services, clinical research organization capabilities, and market access consulting, with a technology-enabled commercialization support offering. McKesson expects the combined company to report within its Oncology & Multispecialty segment. Both companies said the acquisition strengthens trial execution and commercialization capacity and broadens clinical services for biopharma customers. Closing depends on customary conditions and regulatory clearance.
