K2 Therapeutics emerged from stealth, raising a $50 million seed round led by MPM BioImpact, with the firm positioned to expand its portfolio across antibody-drug conjugates and T-cell engager programs. The new company says it already holds eight candidates across modalities, spanning preclinical through clinical stage, and is pushing multiple globally licensed assets beyond Greater China. K2 also staffed up for growth, naming Huang Ying—former CEO of Legend Biotech—as chief executive with a stated mission of advancing programs toward clinical milestones and raising for a Series A. Among its early moves, K2 licensed ATG-106 from Antegene in June, securing exclusive global rights outside Greater China for the CDH6 x CD3 bispecific TCE. In parallel, Enginprime Medical raised $12 million in a Series A round led by Qiming Venture Partners to advance its percutaneous ventricular assist device OpusOne through China registration trials. Senticell also raised, closing an oversubscribed seed round of nearly $7 million to advance its RBC-bound nucleic-acid liquid biopsy platform. The company is running multiple enrolling studies at Penn Medicine, comparing RBC-associated signals against plasma-based tests and expanding into oncology analytics as well as pathogen detection plans.
