Moonwalk Biosciences raised $70 million in Series B financing to advance its adipose-targeted RNAi obesity candidate MW-101 into the clinic. The company said it expects first-in-human dosing in late 2027, following IND-enabling studies, while also expanding its pipeline of siRNA programs targeting adipose biology. The round was co-led by Alpha Wave Ventures and YK Bioventures and included participation from Eli Lilly and other investors. Moonwalk’s approach aims to modulate fat without relying on appetite-suppressing incretin mechanisms, targeting obesity and related cardiometabolic diseases through delivery to adipose tissue.
