Anti-aging startup NewLimit raised $435 million at a valuation above $3 billion in a Series C financing led by Founders Fund. The company said it expects to start human testing next year for its first clinic-ready liver medicine candidate. NewLimit’s funding round drew participation from Thrive Capital and Lilly Ventures, along with investments from tech entrepreneurs Nat Friedman and Daniel Gross. The company also highlighted that it has moved faster than earlier timelines after a promising candidate emerged from its transcription-factor reprogramming platform. With a phase 1 trial planned for next year, NewLimit’s financing reinforces investor appetite for translational aging biology and liver-directed reprogramming strategies, which remain early-stage but highly capital intensive.
