Radical Numerics launched with $50 million in seed funding to build multimodal AI models trained across DNA, RNA, and proteins for cancer diagnostics, drug target identification, and biosecurity use cases. The round was led by Emergence Capital, with participation from Obvious Ventures, Triatomic Capital, Factory, and First Spark Ventures. The company says its models learn directly from biological data and is previewing a next-generation genomic language model called Omnii. Radical Numerics also disclosed an application partner in diagnostics, targeting pancreatic and multi-cancer detection. Scientific advisors include Microsoft CSO Eric Horvitz and Harvard biologist George Church, while founders include Eric Nguyen and Michael Poli, known for generative genomics models developed at the Arc Institute.
