Sartorius and NIBRT announced a partnership to establish a training center in Dublin focused on intensified and fully continuous bioprocessing. Starting in Q4 2026, the Process Intensification Training Center is expected to provide hands-on education for more than 1,000 scientists, engineers, and students annually, pairing practical instruction with a modular cGMP continuous bioprocess platform. The collaboration centers on integrating Sartorius’ Pionic technology into NIBRT’s curriculum, with additional plans for pilot-scale demonstrations and collaborative research. The intent is to accelerate workforce readiness for digitalized manufacturing workflows at a time when biopharma companies are shifting away from batch-only processes. For CDMOs and process development teams, the new hub signals a growing emphasis on training infrastructure as a gating factor for adopting continuous manufacturing at scale.
