GBI Biomanufacturing said it will launch its SmartScale GMP Solutions platform at BioProcess International (BPI) East 2026, aiming to speed generation of cGMP material for first-in-human studies. SmartScale is designed to streamline cell line development, scaleup, and manufacturing using technologies integrated from ATUM and Thomson Instrument, with GBI citing potential timelines of about eight months to GMP-ready material.
