Cytiva and Rockwell Automation launched Figurate SCADA, a supervisory control and data acquisition system aimed at reducing integration bottlenecks in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. The system is positioned as open-architecture middleware that can integrate across multiple instrument vendors and equipment modalities. The companies said Figurate supports native interoperability with Cytiva equipment and Rockwell’s FactoryTalk software suite, with features including centralized alarms, real-time monitoring, and batch reporting aligned to bioprocess workflows. Modular design and pre-engineered templates are intended to shorten deployment and validation timelines. For biomanufacturers, interoperability is frequently a practical blocker to data-driven process intensification and continuous manufacturing initiatives. Cytiva and Rockwell framed the launch as enabling faster adoption of next-generation process control systems with fewer proprietary integration barriers.
