Two new biotechs broke through IPO expectations, underscoring investor appetite for late-breaking pipeline themes. BlossomHill Therapeutics and Latigo Biotherapeutics each raised more than their targets in a week of four IPOs, with the combined haul reported at about $496 million. In separate transactions, Latigo’s IPO raised nearly $350 million to fund development of its non-opioid, ion-channel-blocking pain program. Braveheart Bio also priced an upsized IPO at $382.5 million to advance its oral cardiac myosin inhibitor BHB-1893 through late-stage hypertrophic cardiomyopathy studies. Collectively, the listings show continued capital formation for targeted therapeutics—especially where regulators may be able to support faster pathways and where clinical endpoints can be assessed with clear benchmarks.
