McKesson agreed to acquire Precision Medicine Group in an all-cash transaction valued at about $2.25 billion to expand oncology and biopharma services across the drug lifecycle. Precision brings biomarker intelligence, lab services, clinical trial management, market access consulting, and commercialization support. The deal is expected to close after regulatory reviews and would fold Precision into McKesson’s Oncology & Multispecialty segment. McKesson said the acquisition strengthens clinical trial execution and broadens offerings for biotechnology and pharmaceutical clients that need end-to-end support. Strategically, the move signals continued consolidation in services that translate molecular discovery into commercial delivery, as sponsors increasingly look for partners that can execute both clinical operations and market-facing work.
