Bionyra Pharma launched with a $165 million oversubscribed Series A to develop antibodies with extended half-lives targeting TL1A and related inflammatory pathways. The startup said it has a portfolio of three candidates licensed from China and U.S.-based partners. Bionyra plans early clinical testing for BYN-002 (anti-TL1A), BYN-003 (a bispecific combining TL1A with IL-23 pathway targeting), and BYN-001 (anti-IL-25 for atopic dermatitis and other inflammatory conditions). Co-founder and former Sanofi immunology R&D leader Frédéric Marrache said the pipeline is designed to offer improved dosing and differentiation. The financing adds to the flow of capital into next-generation biologics aimed at chronic inflammatory diseases where response durability and safety profiles remain key commercialization hurdles.
