BioNTech will close three manufacturing sites in Germany—Idar-Oberstein, Marburg, and Tübingen—after failing to secure buyers for the facilities. The company said socially responsible solutions and enhanced severance arrangements were agreed with the works council, and that costs began accruing during the period when buyer discussions were ongoing.
