UCB dedicated its planned Rowen, Georgia biologics manufacturing campus, setting out a $2 billion investment. The site is described as UCB’s first U.S. manufacturing location and is intended to support commercial production of biologics as well as future medicines, leveraging AI, automation, and advanced manufacturing technologies. The campus is scheduled to open in 2032 or 2033 and is expected to create about 330 permanent jobs on roughly 460,000 square feet across a 79-acre parcel in Gwinnett County’s Rowen innovation district. UCB also flagged local incentive commitments, including $174 million in county investments. From an industry perspective, the move underscores ongoing capacity expansion as demand for biologics and complex modalities grows, while manufacturers seek geographic diversification and more robust supply chains. The dedication also ties the manufacturing expansion to UCB’s patient value chain integration across R&D and production in the U.S.
