The Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) launched the BIO Investment Council to strengthen ties between investors and early‑stage biotechs and to improve private capital formation. The council will advise BIO on policies to facilitate investment and help match emerging companies with appropriate investors. BIO named industry and investment leaders to chair and vice‑chair roles and said the council will play a visible role at BIO investor events, including the BIO Investor Growth Summit. BIO emphasized the urgency of aligning capital to sustain innovation in small and mid‑sized biotech companies.
