10x Genomics launched Sentira Single Cell, a cloud-based, agentic analysis product that applies Anthropic’s Claude models to accelerate interpretation of Chromium single-cell datasets. The tool is designed to address the “last mile” bottleneck in single-cell research—analysis code and data interpretation that often requires specialized bioinformatics expertise. According to 10x, Sentira Single Cell can run analyses in parallel on 10x Cloud without requiring researchers to configure or manage infrastructure, and it frames the system as model-flexible while initially leveraging Anthropic’s models. The company positioned the product as able to reduce analysis turnaround from weeks to hours for certain workflows. 10x described the product as expanding the group of researchers who can ask questions directly of single-cell data, while also helping surface results that might be missed when only standard pipelines are used. Sentira Spatial launched earlier, with Sentira Single Cell representing the company’s next step in extending an AI-powered analysis umbrella across single-cell modalities.
