Bristol Myers Squibb expanded its relationship with Nvidia, saying it will build a “most powerful” AI supercomputer factory in biopharma using Nvidia DGX SuperPOD infrastructure and AIDGX Vera Rubin NVL72 systems. BMS said the setup is designed to be energy-efficient and supports AI-enabled R&D operations across multiple pipeline areas. The effort follows a three-year Nvidia collaboration in which BMS deployed DGX SuperPOD infrastructure for R&D activities. BMS framed the program as part of a broader hybrid intelligence strategy—pairing AI outputs with human judgment to increase confidence in which programs advance. BMS also pointed to other recent compute and AI partnerships, including work with Anthropic’s Claude and Microsoft for diagnostic workflows. The company joins a growing set of large drugmakers using high-performance compute platforms to scale drug discovery and development workflows.
