Basecamp Research unveiled the Trillion Gene Atlas, a public–private initiative with Anthropic, Ultima Genomics, PacBio and NVIDIA infrastructure to massively expand environmental sequencing datasets for AI‑driven therapeutic design. The project aims to scale evolutionary sequence diversity roughly 100‑fold by collecting genomic data from millions of organisms across global sites, producing training data for Basecamp’s EDEN models and Anthropic’s reasoning engines. Basecamp argues that richer evolutionary inputs will enable foundation models to design therapeutics more systematically; industry partners supply sequencing (Ultima, PacBio), compute (NVIDIA Parabricks) and reasoning models (Anthropic). The effort blends large‑scale field sequencing with cloud assembly and model training and will create an estimated 100,000 deeply sequenced samples across dozens of countries as a resource for next‑generation AI therapeutics.
