The company’s top-line data in the sHTG program indicate strong triglyceride reductions versus control arms, with additional analyses focused on acute pancreatitis event reductions. Arrowhead said pooled data showed a substantial drop in acute pancreatitis events among treated patients compared with placebo/control groups, while safety and tolerability remained consistent with prior experience in the label for familial chylomicronemia syndrome. The results arrive as companies race to expand RNA-based therapies in lipid disorders, including comparisons to Ionis Pharmaceuticals’ olezarsen (Tryngolza), which has recently won FDA approval in sHTG. If the FDA accepts the evidence package for label expansion, Redemplo could move from a rare disease indication into a broader patient population with high pancreatitis risk.
