Argenx said its subcutaneous Vyvgart Hytrulo (efgartigimod alfa) met statistical significance in a Phase 3 myositis study focused on immune-mediated necrotizing myopathy, a subtype with no approved targeted therapy. The company reported rapid and sustained improvement on Total Improvement Score measures and highlighted steroid tapering progress. Argenx also acknowledged that results in dermatomyositis did not reach statistical significance. Still, the overall response profile in the IMNM subgroup strengthened the investment case for expanding Vyvgart’s franchise beyond existing immune indications. Analysts responded positively to the top-line readout, pointing to a meaningful addressable expansion opportunity where unmet need remains high.
