Boulevard Bio emerged from stealth with about $65 million in launch financing from Deerfield Management to build a multi-specific antibody platform focused on B cell–driven autoimmune disease. The company’s lead program, BLVD101, is a bispecific antibody targeting BAFF and APRIL, with an initial focus in IgA nephropathy. A key differentiator is the dosing schedule. Interim Phase I data in healthy volunteers, the company said, suggest a possible once-every-12-weeks regimen—an interval that could reduce treatment burden for patients currently managed with more frequent biologic administration. Boulevard is also advancing multiple other bispecific programs as it establishes its “precision immunology” approach. The formation model—incubated inside Deerfield Discovery and Development rather than through a traditional venture syndicate—signals how large platform owners are structuring early translational pipelines to accelerate candidate selection and early clinical execution.
