FairJourney Bio opened a new cryo-electron microscopy structural biology facility in San Diego, expanding its U.S. capacity and integrating atomic-resolution structure work directly into its antibody discovery platform. The company said the site houses a 300 kV cryo-EM infrastructure with two ThermoFisher Titan Krios 5 systems. The facility is positioned to support structure-guided antibody optimization, including epitope mapping and hit generation, with the aim of moving structural insight earlier in the discovery workflow. FairJourney Bio also launched cryo-EM services in January 2026 and described the offering as a full-service CRO capability. For antibody and biologics developers, the move signals continued investment in native-state structural characterization to accelerate candidate selection and reduce late-stage rework.
