AbCellera reported positive topline Phase 2 results for ABCL-635, an injectable neurokinin 3 receptor (NK3R) antagonist antibody for menopausal vasomotor symptoms. In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 2 portion of a Phase 1/2 program, a single 600 mg subcutaneous dose significantly reduced both the frequency and severity of moderate-to-severe hot flashes at week 4. The company said the results also improved sleep and patient global impression of change, with the Phase 2 data showing a favorable tolerability profile. The trial enrolled 92 postmenopausal women randomized 1:1 to ABCL-635 or placebo. The update strengthens AbCellera’s women’s health positioning at a time when investors are demanding clearer evidence of clinically meaningful endpoints for non-hormonal therapies in the hot flashes category.
