Researchers at Biohub reported that co‑administration of a three‑amino‑acid supplement markedly increases lipid‑nanoparticle (LNP) uptake and in vivo mRNA and CRISPR editing efficiency. The team showed that physiological metabolic conditions suppress amino‑acid pathways that limit LNP fusion and that restoring key amino acids reverses the effect, improving functional delivery in animal models. This metabolic adjunct does not require redesigning nanoparticle chemistry and could be rapidly tested across existing LNP platforms. If replicated in humans, the approach may increase potency and lower dosing for mRNA therapeutics and gene editors, with direct implications for vaccine boosters, cancer vaccines, and systemic gene‑editing strategies.
