Biogen’s phase 2 Celia trial program for the tau-lowering antisense oligonucleotide diranersen (BIIB-080) cleared a key publication milestone at AAIC 2026, with results presented by Catherine Mummery of UCL Dementia Research Centre. Although the study missed its primary dose-response endpoint, the data showed consistent tau reductions and cognitive slowing signals across dose groups.
